#3 The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of New Insights

Author: Emeric Ernoult AgoraPulse

Why read this article?

Rollout of the new Insights Dashboard is complete. When Facebook promised this would be a total revamp from the ground up they weren’t kidding, Facebook really has given the user interface a total overhaul, new Insights bears little resemblance to its predecessor. Now that the rollout is complete find out what works well and what doesn’t.

What’s the PULSE on This?

    o
  • THE GOOD: There is no doubt that the navigation of the new Insights Dashboard is much more user friendly
  • o

  • We love the new date selector. The old version of Insights only gave information about certain fixed periods of time. This new feature allows you to choose the dates you are actually concerned about – like comparing contests and posts in different time periods
  • o

  • The new graphics are much more appealing and give a good visual snapshot of your performance
  • o

  • THE BAD:When fans are Online’ doesn’t tell you if they actually saw your content – you need 3rd party app for that!
  • o

  • Creating a report from Insights takes a great deal of time. Most Facebook marketers don’t have enough time as it is! Thankfully AgoraPulse publishes all the Facebook Marketing stats you need in an easy to read format for bosses and clients
  • o

  • To access virality figures you still need to download the excel report. If you’ve accessed this before you’ll know just how clunky it is
  • o

  • THE UGLY: Promotional content only gets half the reach of how to’s and customer reviews
  • o

  • New insights only shows data for the previous three months
