Facebook Page Performances by Industry (October 2013)

If you want to be popular on Facebook, it pays to sell jewelry!  But, if you’re looking to have meaningful relationships, you’re better off in church than wearing a Rolex.

This week, the Barometer shows us that while Jewelry and watch pages have exponentially higher fan bases, artists and church organizations engage far better on average.  And, they stir up more buzz in the ‘people talking about this’ category.

This week’s battle- Athletes vs. Politicians!

Being nearly equal when it comes to reaching their fans, politicians take the lead by going more than twice as viral as professional athletes.  Nice!  However, the average professional athlete scores nearly double the engagement and more than 4 times the average number of fans.  Ouch!

Check out the infographic below to watch athletes and politicians duke it out and learn more about which kinds of Facebook pages performed well in October.
