If you ask any social media manager what they love about their job, they’re not going to respond with “Content curation. Hands down!”
I’ll tell you why.
It is extremely time consuming to consistently find content that will resonate with your both brand AND your followers. First, you have to know what sites pump out good content. Then you have to scroll through those sites’ feeds every day to see what content is worth sharing on your networks.
Maybe you’re fancy and combine feeds from multiple sites in a newsreader like Feedly or Netvibes. But there you have to comb and click through an even larger list of articles to find something decent to post.
That’s why I love Nuzzel. It saves me hours of week in curating content for my social feeds. I bet it will do the same for you.
Nuzzel gives you a list of posts that are currently popular with your Twitter friends. Yes. At any time, you can view a curated list of new articles that have been vetted by your peers. Sweet!
Set up is incredibly easy. Say goodbye to finding and entering RSS feeds of your favorite blogs. (Talk about time consuming!) All you have to do is sign in with your Twitter account.
Within a minute, you’ll see what your Twitter followers are sharing right now with others.
The timeframe drop down menu (indicated with a red arrow in the above example) is a great resource to keep up to date should you be away from your desk and want to catch up with articles that people shared in your absence. Select the timeframe or specific date that you want and Presto! Instant top articles from your Twitter followers to keep you up-to-date.
You can be even more precise in your pre-vetted curated content by seeing what’s trending with the people on your Twitter lists.
Nuzzel has some great email notification settings to keep you updated as much — or as little — as you’d like.
For example, you can set Nuzzel to send you a taste of your feed each morning.
Click through the email links to see what popular articles await you on my Nuzzel page. Easy!
You can also set email alerts to be notified when any story has been shared by a certain number of Twitter friends. This feature is like a free virtual assistant who keeps your head out of your Twitter feed and on to your other tasks.
Nuzzel is also available as a mobile app for Android and iOS so you can keep tabs on hot content anywhere you are. And you can share that great content with your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ followers using the Agorapulse mobile app! (Just sayin’.)
